Leave and Absence Tracking in TaskRely
Time off is requested and approved right here, instead of a separate HR tool nobody checks. It matters beyond the calendar too: once a request is approved, response-time obligations that fall inside it are automatically left out of your performance score - being on leave never counts against you.
Requesting time off
Open Leave from the sidebar and click Request leave. Fill in a leave type - there are suggestions like Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Personal Leave, or Remote Work, but it's a free-text field, so type whatever fits - a start date, an end date, and an optional reason. Submit it and your manager and every org admin get notified.
There's one exception: if you're the only admin in your organization, there's nobody left to approve it, so your own request approves itself the moment you submit it.
Who can approve it
Only two people can approve or deny a given request: an org admin, or that specific person's assigned manager - not just any manager in the organization. Whoever's deciding sees Approve and Deny options with room for an optional note, which the requester sees alongside the decision.
Changing your mind
You can edit your own request - the dates, the type, the reason - for as long as it's still pending. Once it's been approved or denied, it's locked; you'd submit a new one instead. Withdrawing works the same way: it's only available while the request is still pending.
You vs. Team
The You tab always shows your own requests. A second tab, Team, only shows up if you're an org admin or someone's manager - it lists everyone whose requests you're actually authorized to see and decide on, not the whole organization's.
Either tab can be filtered by leave type, status, or a date range, plus a plain search box for a name, type, or date. A row of stat cards above the table totals up days and counts - total, approved, pending, denied, cancelled - scoped to whichever filters are active.
